Enjoy an unforgettable hike along the west side of the Arenal Volcano, where you’ll explore ancient lava fields, admire views of Arenal Lake, and encounter local wildlife. End your day with a soothing visit to the Ecotermales Hot Springs, the perfect way to unwind
Explore two of the top attractions in the area.
We start this half-day tour with a visit to the Lava 1968 Reserve, located next to the national park. Here, we’ll hike along trails that showcase ancient lava rock formations, remnants of Arenal Volcano’s eruptions, and breathtaking views of the volcano and Lake Arenal. In the secondary forest section, we’ll have the chance to spot local wildlife, including birds, small reptiles, and rodents.
After this informative hike, we’ll head to the stunning Fortuna River Waterfall, a magnificent 60-meter-high cascade. To reach its base, we’ll take a paved trail with 530 steps—great cardio! At the bottom, you can relax in the crystal-clear waters of the river and soak in the lush natural surroundings of this remarkable waterfall.
On our way back, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to the hotel. Sit back and enjoy!
